Vets

David Preece BVSc MRCVS

Director
Originally from Bristol, David qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 1991 and worked in mixed Practice in North Wales and Staffordshire before coming to Gloucestershire in 1996. He then teamed up with Nick to found Tyndale Vets in 1998. David has an interest in all aspects of production animal medicine as well as enjoying the business side of food production. Outside of work, he keeps himself busy with his 3 children and his dog, Hector.

Bryony Kendall BSc (An Sci) BVSc MRCVS

Director
Qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 2008, Bryony arrived at Tyndale in 2009 after working in Cheshire at the University of Liverpool Farm Practice. She enjoys all aspects of being a farm vet but especially small ruminant work – sheep and dairy goats. Following a brief stint in New Zealand in 2014-15 she has also developed an interest in grass-based dairy farming.

Sam Ecroyd BVM BVS BVMedSci (hons) MRCVS

Director
Sam graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2014 and joined Tyndale Vets soon after. Sam has a keen interest in all aspects of cattle medicine, but also heads up the Tyndale Deer Services with Kit too, as well as being a key member of our Advanced Breeding Team.

Harry Dibble BVMed Sci BVM BVS MRCVS

Director
After graduating from The University of Nottingham in 2017, Harry spent his first 18 months working in Carmarthenshire in a large dairy focused practice. Originally from Swindon; where his family milk 200 Pedigree British Friesians, Harry enjoys all aspects of life as a farm vet. Outside of work he enjoys playing cricket and supports Bath rugby, however he spends much of his time chasing after his lurcher Spud.

Kit Heawood BVMed Sci BVM BVS MRCVS

Director
Kit graduated from Nottingham University in 2014 and joined the team at Tyndale in 2018. Kit particularly clinical focus is deer, working with farmed, park and zoo collections across England and Wales. He is also part of the advanced breeding team, specifically working with small ruminants; mainly deer and goats. Kit has previously worked abroad and continues to integrate veterinary work and travel, regularly working in Mongolia and Argentina with equine endurance events and regional integration. He is also currently undertaking a certificate in advanced veterinary practice.

Inês Cruz DVM, MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon
Ines has been working as a farm vet for over 5 years in the UK and Ireland before coming to join the Tyndale Team in early 2020.

Emily Singer- Ripley BVetMed MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon
Emily qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2016 and spent her first 3 years in farm animal practice, covering the counties of Herts, Beds and Bucks. Having spent a lot of time with beef, sheep and alpacas, she enjoys the proactive side to farm vetting but also enjoys dealing with calving's (especially when there is a good outcome of course!) Emily joined Tyndale in July 2019 and is looking forward to seeing more dairy cows and exploring the Gloucestershire countryside with her whippet puppy Finn.

Kirby Dobson BVSc MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon
Kirby graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2018 and spent two years in mixed practice in North Wales. Kirby joined Tyndale in July 2020 and enjoys all aspects of farm vet work but especially enjoys lambing season. In her spare time Kirby likes to find new walks to do with her dog Ron.

Manuel Sisniega MRCVS

Originally from Santander in Spain, Manuel qualified in 1994 from Madrid Complutense Vet School. Manuel has lived in the UK for a number of years working as a TB tester for DEFRA and as an Official Veterinarian in different abattoirs around the UK. He joined the practice in September 2010 and works part time with Tyndale.

Ovi joined us from Romania in mid 2018 as part of our wonderful TB testing team.

Diana Lupez MRCVS

TB Tester
Diana joined us in February 2018 after moving from Romania. "At the beginning I was scared of the unknown, but the whole team helped me a lot. Little by little, they've become my second family. With good and bad, Tyndale have showed me patience, friendship, empathy and I’m very grateful for that. I love our clients and their cattle even when they try to kick me!"

Debbie has come to work for us from Usk Vets.

Sam Ronan

TB Tester
Sam has a keen interest in farm animals especially cows and sheep. She previously worked for National milk records and as a relief milker. At home in Caldicot, she and her partner have pedigree Lleyns, they also help with her partners Mums pedigree Suffolks. Sam has 2 ex racehorses, Kenny and Bud who are her pride and joy, they are nearly both retired now, and live life in the field and taking up most of her spare time. They also have two dogs a border collie called Sky who is Sam's right arm while sorting sheep and a sprocker called Lily who loves to go shooting with them when they get time.

Megan Kemp

TB Tester
Meg joined our team in April 2023 with a working background in horses and farming. Meg is a qualified ATT and is working towards growing her list of vet-tech services. She is currently offering disbudding of calves, blood testing, mobility scoring and vaccinations. Meg has a keen interest in sheep as she is a small-holder herself and with any luck, will have her own herd of cattle very soon! You will usually find Meg accompanied by her 'working' cocker spaniel Tilly, and her Kelpie, Blue.

Heather Hemingway-Arnold BVMedSci MRes BVM BVS MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon
Heather graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2023 and, having spent lots of time on placement with Tyndale, decided to make the move to South Glos from Weston-Super-Mare with her boyfriend Sam. In her spare time she enjoys the local countryside (and pubs!) with her horse, Ted and she has also joined the local young farmers. Heather is most looking forward to getting to know all of our lovely clients and taking part in our local community!

Rose Franklin

Office & Operations Manager
After spending the last 8 years in Shropshire, Rose and her husband, Kit, have recently moved back to the village of Coates, nr Cirencester, where she grew up. They are busy building their own house. Rose has a 6-month-old cocker spaniel called Wren who she's enjoying training up as a gun dog, and a rather large tabby cat called Atticus.

Camilla Meheran

Advanced Breeding Co-ordinator
Camilla has been with the team for over seven years and is also now qualified as a Veterinary Technician. She works as part of our Advanced Breeding Team.

Jess Hemmings

PR & Marketing Manager
Jess joined us in 2016 and grew up in Gloucestershire. An experienced administrator she manages our social media, newsletters, smallholder club, events and various other projects that are happening.

Abbi Pullen

Operations Support Technician
Abbi has worked for Tyndale Vets for over three years. Abbi has her own farm and enjoys splitting her time between Tyndale vets and her own farm.

Tina Sheldon QL-SQP

TB Support
Tina coordinates all of our TB testing in the practice. She also successfully passed AMTRA examinations in Base and Farm Animal modules in 2011 to become a suitably qualified person within the practice.

Freya Bailey

Receptionist
Freya grew up living on her families farm in Uley. She has spent the past few years renovating properties with her husband Craig in Tetbury and Tresham along with their two dogs Murphy and Reggie.

Jackie Boulter

Receptionist
Jackie is a local who grew up on the Tortworth estate and now lives in Thornbury. She is married To Marcus who works for Ford, and has with two children - Sophie a primary school teacher, and Daniel who is a business strategy manager for DEFRA. She has previously worked in banking, and for the NHS as a GP reception supervisor for 14 years before joining Tyndale at the end of 2021. She is a keen walker and an avid reader.

Jo Wood

Receptionist
Jo lives near Birdlip Hill with her husband Barry and son Ollie who has just graduated from Hartpury. They run a flock of 700 Ewes and also have a Sheep Tack business in the winter. Jo has worked at other Vet Practices in the past and was also Head Groom at Mike & Angela Tuckers Three Day Eventing year in Tetbury. Jo is a breeder of working Gun dogs and loves taking Tezel & Drizzle, her working labs, for long walks everyday.

Nicky Gamble MAAT

Accounts
Nicky used to be a Bank Manager and worked for NatWest for 28 years before qualifying as a Bookkeeper. In her spare time she is a Director of Stroud Rugby Club and looks after the mini and junior section along with the Clubs finances. Nicky’s family are very musical, she plays the saxophone, her husband Adam plays the trumpet and her son plays the guitar and drums – you wouldn’t want to live next door to them!

Phil Metcalf

Medicines Logistics
Phil is the smiling face that delivers all our Medicines to our various drop points to make life easier for our farmers. When not driving for us he runs his own Interiors Company.

Philippa Wholey

Veterinary Embryology and Advanced Breeding Technician
Philippa has joined our expanding Advanced Breeding department. It is likely that you will meet her assisting on OPU collection days, and when she is not busy vet-teching, she will be inside the laboratory supporting our head embryologist with the daily embryo tasks. Philippa was previously working within the Advanced Breeding sector for an Ovine breeding specialist based in Shropshire.

Kate Evans

Receptionist
Kate is a current client from Wales and is sister-in-law to Meg, our new ATT! She has a young child, Ifan, who was born last year. She has previously trained to be a Pharmacist and worked at Boots but has also recently finished uni training to be a Veterinary Physiotherapist. She plans to set up a hydrotherapy pool for dogs at home. We look forward to working with her while Freya is on Maternity Leave.

Siobhán joined us in June '23 as Freya's maternity cover.

Steph Harkins BSc, MSc

Embryologist
Steph has joined us after finishing her master’s at Liverpool John Moores University studying Embryology. She is now be based in the Advanced Breeding laboratory as a Veterinary Embryologist. Steph previously worked as a medical laboratory assistant and fancied a change to the countryside!
