Join Tyndale Vets in an Apprenticeship role as a Farm Practice Administrator!

Are you organised, proactive and keen to build a career in business administration? We’re looking for someone motivated and enthusiastic to join our friendly farm veterinary practice as a Practice Administrator Apprentice, working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across multiple areas of the practice while receiving structured training and support.

About The Apprenticeship:

A fixed term 24-month contract, this role will allow you to work towards a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, delivered in partnership with Gloucestershire College.

This apprenticeship role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, learning new skills, and supporting a busy practice in delivering excellent service. You’ll learn how veterinary business administration works day‑to‑day, develop confidence with IT and communication, develop communication and organisational skills, and contribute meaningfully to the smooth running of the practice.

The Role:

You’ll have a varied, hands‑on role supporting essential daily operations within the practice. You’ll work closely with the Practice Support Team, developing skills across:

Administration & Organisation

  • Producing documents, emails and reports

  • Supporting herd health admin; including inputting and maintaining herd health data and uploading information to external portals

  • Handling medicine orders, stock control and general practice supplies

  • Organising equipment and supporting the vet team’s daily needs

Reception & Client Support

  • Supporting with phone calls and appointment bookings

  • Helping maintain excellent client communication and service

  • Ensuring records and payments are accurately processed

Laboratory Support

  • Ownership of in-house laboratory, with full support

  • Running faecal egg counts (full training provided)

  • Maintaining and cleaning lab equipment

  • Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies

Practice Operations

  • Helping organise events and training courses

  • Coordinating cleaning, waste management and site servicing

  • Assisting with vehicle servicing coordination

  • Assisting with Ewe‑Go packing and order fulfilment

What We Are Looking For:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic and eager to learn

  • A clear, confident communicator

  • Organised, reliable and detail‑focused

  • Comfortable working in a busy team environment

  • Positive, proactive and ready to take initiative

  • A good level of computer literacy

A background in agriculture, would be a plus, but not essential, the right attitude matters most, and full training will be provided.

Working Hours

We are flexible and open to applicants wanting 30–40 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.
There may be occasional Saturday mornings (8am–12.45pm) and occasional evening or weekend work to support events.
