Tyndale Vets is committed to providing the highest standard of veterinary care for your animals. We believe it is of the utmost importance all staff and clients are treated with professionalism and courtesy. We believe a strong client-practice relationship is built on mutual trust, confidence, and respect. As such we ask both our staff and clients to act with this in mind.
The wellbeing and safety of our staff are of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of rude, abusive, threatening, or violent behaviour.
Unacceptable behaviour towards staff may lead to the termination of veterinary services by Tyndale Vets. Examples of behaviour which we deem unacceptable include, but are not limited to:
Using rude, abusive, or threatening language towards our staff, whether in person or over the phone
Any form of physical violence or threats towards staff
Damaging or attempting to damage property or equipment belonging to the practice or its staff
Making racial, sexist, sexual, or other discriminatory remarks, gestures, or implications
Making persistent or unrealistic demands that cause stress or intimidation to our staff
Making or spreading malicious allegations about our staff, whether in person or online (including social media)
Theft or any form of criminal activity or dishonestly obtaining veterinary medicines or services
Failing to comply with our practice’s health and safety requirements
In the first instance, we will aim to discuss the situation with you to create a way forwards. However, we reserve the right to refuse service and take appropriate measures to protect our staff and any criminal acts will be reported to the police.
We may decline to provide veterinary services, ask you to leave our premises, or terminate our contract with you if you or anyone accompanying you engages in unacceptable behaviour, whether at our practice, on your farm or when communicating with our staff by phone, email, website, or social media.
This policy is in place to protect our staff and clients. We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for everyone. If you experience or witness inappropriate behaviour or any form of harassment, please report it confidentially to our Practice Manager; rose.franklin@tndalevets.co.uk.
