Farm Veterinary Surgeon.
Join Tyndale Vets!
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and professional vet to join our growing team on a permanent basis. This opportunity has come up as a result of parental leave, and we’d love to find the right person to become a long-term part of the practice. Whether you’re recently qualified or have a few years of experience, we’d love to hear from you!
About Us:
Based in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside, near Berkeley, Tyndale Vets is a proudly independent, farm-only practice made up of a lively and supportive team of 35, including 12 vets and 6 dedicated TB testers.
We are active members of the XLVets community and also run a cutting-edge bovine IVF and ET facility as well as being a teaching practice for both Bristol and Nottingham veterinary students. We take pride in delivering forward-thinking, practical vet work.
Our large communal vets’ office is at the heart of the practice, a space to share ideas, discuss cases, or simply debrief and have a chat at the end of a busy day. We prioritise teamwork, initiative and a good sense of humour, with people at the heart of everything we do. We're growing, we’re busy, and we genuinely love what we do.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive vet, dedicated to working with farms and farmers to join our team. We support clinical freedom and are always keen for team members to pursue their own interests - innovation is welcomed here.
You’ll be working with a broad and interesting caseload: dairy (cattle and goat), beef, sheep, camelids, deer, and smallholders. A willingness to work across all these species is essential, but we’ll do our best to shape your role around your particular strengths and interests.
We’re ideally looking for someone full-time, either on a 4.5 day week or a 9-day fortnight, but we're open to discussing flexible options for the right individual.
About the Role:
We’re a friendly, supportive team with directors who are actively involved in the clinical workload and day-to-day practice. Our vets work closely together, sharing advice and case discussions (and the occasional traffic update) via an active WhatsApp group.
We hold regular clinical club meetings, and CPD is encouraged and funded, with many of our team working towards certificates. On-call is shared on a 1-in-5 rota, alternating between first and second on-call, with two vets available each evening and weekend to ease the workload. There’s always a colleague or director at the end of the phone if you need backup.
Our aim is to provide a professional, enjoyable environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
What You’ll Get:
A competitive salary.
Company phone or phone allowance.
Company car or mileage allowance.
Enhanced parental leave and sick pay.
5 weeks holiday allowance, plus bank holidays.
Staff discounts.
A health perks scheme covering some routine healthcare appointments.
Funded RCVS fees.
5 days CPD per year with a budget of approximately £1,000.
A genuinely supportive team who will value your voice and ideas.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you think you’d be a good fit, we’d love to hear from you!
